Dr. Yankı Yazgan (1959), a psychiatrist specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, has served as a professor at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and as a faculty member at the Yale Child Study Center, where he has carried out teaching, research, and clinical work. He spent his childhood and adolescence in İzmir. He graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School and Ankara Science High School before earning his medical degree from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. His clinical practice and research focus primarily on the diagnosis and multimodal treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition to publishing numerous articles in peer-reviewed national and international scientific journals and contributing chapters to academic books, he has written "popular science" articles and books aimed at making knowledge in the fields of neuroscience and psychiatry accessible to a broader audience.
